Gaia Compost Capital (GAIACC) was born out of a deep-seated commitment to nurturing the land, empowering local communities, and fostering sustainable agricultural practices. Located in the heart of the world, the breath-taking Sierra Nevada of Santa Marta, Colombia, we witness first-hand the challenges that grassroots farmers face: depleted lands, unpredictable climate conditions, and limited access to resources. We believe that these challenges can be transformed into opportunities for growth, sustainability, and resilience. Our mission is to regenerate landscapes while providing economic opportunities and preserving the rich cultural heritage of the region's indigenous communities
GAIACC envisions a future where agricultural landscapes are both productive and regenerative, supporting thriving ecosystems and vibrant communities. We see a world where farmers are equipped with the knowledge and tools to rebuild their lands sustainably, ensuring food security, biodiversity, and resilience against climate change.
The Sierra Nevada of Santa Marta, known as "The Heart of the World," is a breathtaking coastal mountain range in northern Colombia, renowned for its towering peaks and exceptional biodiversity a Mountain Galapagos. Home to unique ecosystems and countless endemic species, this region is a vital ecological treasure. It is also a cultural haven, inhabited by indigenous groups like the Kogi, Wiwa, Kankuamo and Arhuaco, who serve as stewards of the land with their deep-rooted spiritual and environmental wisdom. Despite its significance, the Sierra Nevada faces pressing threats such as deforestation, climate change, and illegal mining, which jeopardize its delicate balance. At Gaia Compost Capital, we are dedicated to safeguarding this crucial landscape through regenerative agriculture and community empowerment, ensuring its survival and vitality for generations to come.
A highly experienced team from diverse backgrounds and with the common goal of regenerating the world we live in. We aim to serve our communities and develop win-win relationships with all of our partners.
